Meltwater and stormwater contain various types of pollutants, including insoluble products, for example, oil derivatives, as well as sand and street dust particles. If we are talking about refined petroleum products or other potentially dangerous substances, it is worth taking care that they do not harm the ecosystem, because the dumping of such substances is prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine.

What is a sand trap
"Sand catcher" is called in different ways — "sand trap”, "sand collector", "sand separator", all these terms relate to a single device. The unit is designed to capture suspended particles, sand, and refined petroleum products in wastewater. To put it simply, such a device is a filter that cleans sewer pipes from potentially dangerous and harmful particles in order to prevent them from entering the open environment.

In addition to caring for the environment, sand traps serve to prevent leaves, branches, and other debris from entering the sewage drains, which provides protection from blockage and significantly increases the efficiency of storm drainage.
