Frame installation and its dimensions

Toilet installations are modern designs that allow you to save space in the bathroom. Thanks to this device, all communications - pipes, fittings, drain tank - are hidden in the wall, and only the bowl of the toilet bowl and the drain button remain visible. All installations are divided into frame and block installations. The block system allows you to attach plumbing directly to the wall using anchor bolts. It is quite cheap and easy to install. But frame structures are a more complex type of hinged systems for bathrooms. About how they are arranged — and it will be discussed.

What is a frame installation

As it is easy to guess from the name, the basis of the structure is a strong frame, in most cases made of steel. It is intended for installation in places where it is not possible to attach the installation to a capital structure — for example, a load-bearing wall. Frame installations are suitable for rooms with plasterboard partitions, modular structures and other interior walls. Thanks to the frame, a flush system and pipes are placed in the niche, everything is covered with special panels, ceramic tiles or other materials on top.

The kit includes all the necessary fasteners that will allow you to install the structure properly. A huge plus of this type of installation is that it is possible to adjust the components. For example, in good frame installations, steel legs can be shifted by 13 cm in the vertical plane.

Dimensions of the frame installation

One of the main criteria when choosing a frame installation is the depth of the drain tank. It depends on her what size of niche will be required.  For high-quality models, it should be designed for at least 6 liters, and not be too thin. Otherwise, the flush will be insufficient. Seamless tanks made of high-quality polypropylene with a depth of 10 cm are considered optimal, for example, as an installation system NKP. It is also very important that there are 2 flush modes on the button — full and economical, which will preserve functionality.

The frame structure itself can vary in height from 1-1.5 m. It is recommended that at least 20 cm of the structure be recessed into the concrete floor screed — this will ensure reliable installation and structural strength. The standard width of the installation structure does not exceed 50 cm, which is optimally suited for small rooms. The depth of the niche in which the tank will be installed is 15-30 cm, depending on the selected model.

The set of such frames includes the design itself, fasteners, adapters to the toilet and sewer, and of course the installation scheme. It is worth paying the buyer's attention to the fact that it is quite difficult and expensive to redo a failed design. Therefore, it is better to entrust the installation of the framework installation to professionals.

What to pay attention to

Be sure to pay attention to the tank material - ideally, it should be polypropylene. The material is not subject to aging, exposure to adverse factors and corrosion. The best choice is a solid, seamless tank — this will reduce the risk of leakage of the device mounted in the wall.

Also, a high-quality system should have a silent drain. We will not say that this is the main selection criterion, but the benefits of such a function are obvious. We also recommend paying attention to toilet seats with a microlift. Microlift is a mechanism for smoothly lowering the lid without human intervention. Automatic lowering of the lid is silent, and reduces the load on the frame installation system, preserves ceramics from microcracks and other damage.
